A long-term client and partner continues to choose Viking Telecom’s Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) broadband service.

The Challenge: The client’s warehouse is located in an area without fiber optic coverage. Previously, they tried using a 5G router, but the speeds were extremely slow—only 1 to 2 Mbps—making it practically unusable. The signal was exceptionally poor, with almost zero mobile reception indoors.

Our Solution: They have been using our FWA service for several years, utilizing multiple Wi-Fi access points to achieve full coverage across the entire warehouse.

Recent Update (May 2026): The client recently reported that the internet performance was sub-par, noting frequent disconnections and unstable speeds. After verifying these issues through our backend system, we immediately arranged an on-site inspection to optimize the signal.

The Result: After some dedicated effort re-adjusting the receiving antenna’s position and tilt angle, the speed and stability have been restored to satisfactory levels. The client is once again happy with the service. 😉

• 28/Aug/2017 – First meeting with the building to inspect the site and draft the fiber introduction proposal.
• 05/Sep/2017 – Official signed approval received from building representatives, confirming permission for us to provide the service.
• 08/Dec/2027 – Relevant engineering works completed, service officially launched.

那麼用戶端的 IP 便會永久添加到允許清單, 隨時可以取存相關端口服務.

這對一些自動入侵程式攻擊, 非常有效, 能對一些難以更新的軟件或系統, 作出保護.

留意這只能防止自動入侵程式攻擊 (隨機掃端口入侵), 如果攻擊者是正常取得方便取存網址, 加到加到允許清單的話, 他們也一樣可以連上及入侵系統, 但那些是你的授權正常用戶, 理應不需要入侵你系統?

Security vulnerabilities keep evolving at a rapid pace, making them almost impossible to fully guard against. In light of this, we are offering—for free—an IP/port protection and convenient access solution exclusively for our fixed IP address Customer. This adds an extra layer of security to your services and effectively blocks automated intrusion/scanning attacks.

All operations are handled seamlessly in our system core environment. Customers do not need to purchase expensive firewall equipment or deal with any additional system load or running overhead.

By default, our system enforces protection: the related ports “invisible” to general internet, before any client can connect, the user simply needs to open the easy access URL once. The system automatically captures the client’s current IP address and adds it to the allow list—with just one click to open the page, no further action is required from the user.

User simply clicks to open the convenient access URL: https://acl.vkt.hk/acl/ No additional operations needed — the system automatically detects and reads the client’s current IP address, then adds it to the allow list for 24 hours.

If the client uses a fixed IP and prefers permanent access, they can use: https://acl.vkt.hk/acl/always/ The client’s IP will then be permanently added to the allow list, enabling uninterrupted access to the relevant port services anytime.

This method is highly effective against automated intrusion programs (random port-scanning attacks) and provides valuable protection for software or systems that are hard to patch or update regularly.

Important note: This solution only blocks automated/random intrusion attempts (scanning bots). If an attacker intentionally visits the convenient access URL and adds their own IP to the allow list, they can connect and attempt to compromise the system just like any authorized user. But since those would be users you’ve deliberately granted access to, they presumably have no reason to attack or intrude on your system, correct?

The client is exhibiting at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Wan Chai), operating a booth. With only a few days for the exhibition, every second counts for business. Being able to connect to the internet at high speed to provide information to visitors and handle registrations is extremely important.

In the past, they used a 5G router for internet access, but the stability was only average. In crowded exhibition venues with high foot traffic, 5G routers indeed face considerable challenges in both speed and stability.

Project Background

Our long-term partner, a CCTV specialist, has consistently utilized our multiple Fixed IP broadband accounts to provide internet-based remote access for their clients’ surveillance systems.

However, for this specific project, the end-user demanded absolute security. They required the CCTV signals to be transmitted without ever touching the public internet. They reached out to us to see if we could provide a Wireless Private Network solution.

Our Solution

This is one of our core specialties. Because the network is managed directly at the exchange level, the CPE/Modem hardware remains identical to standard setups. This eliminates the need for expensive additional equipment, allowing us to maintain a pricing structure similar to our standard services with no hidden costs.

Today, we received feedback from a customer reporting difficulties with their WIFI connection. After a system check, the internet connection is normal. However, the screenshot provided by the customer when connecting to WIFI shows that the WIFI channel is being used by several other nearby networks, causing connection difficulties.

Looking back at the records, the customer has been using our service since March 2020, and their equipment is relatively old. Newer equipment has technological advancements. Of course, we will update the equipment for the customer free of charge.
